John's loss is Salman's gain

Sunday, 17 January 2010
Blame it on the Bollywood hottest hunk John's times or Team India's swashbuckling skipper Mahendra Sigh Dhoni, apparently Rs. 30 crore is riding on Dhawan's 'Hook Ya Crook'.

The climax of the film is still remaining to be shot on 20 minutes featuring a cricket match between India and South Africa to be canned.

According to sources the climax was to be done last year, but recession bled the film's production house to the tune of Rs. 100 crore on various other projects, and the with one thing or the other.....the climax of the film 'Hook Ya Crook' got put off.

Now, when everything seems was getting back on the line, David Dhawan is not getting Dhoni's dates as the country's skipper is unavailable for the time being.

On the other hand, John's loss is certainely Salman's gain. Dhawan who could not help his 'Hook Ya Crook' in anyway, has put aside his film and has picked up a long delayed sequel to his hit film 'Partner' featuring Salman Khan and Govinda again in the lead.

Bipasha & John still on!

Sunday, 27 December 2009

Despite the buzz about a break-up, the truth is that the two have moved in together

John Abraham and Bipasha Basu as a jodi were MIA for the longest time. The two stopped appearing in public together leading to speculation of a split.

B-Town gossipmongers were buzzing that Bipasha had called off the relationship and that the two weren't a couple anymore. There was talk that the jodi had decided to give each other space and put love on the backburner. Post-New York, John went into hiding, while Bipasha was only seen during the promotion of her films.

However, contrary to popular belief, we found out that the love birds are not only together, but are, in fact, staying in the same nest. According to a source close to the actress, John is now living with Bips at her Khar residence. Even though the move isn't permanent, the two spend a lot of time together. A source says, "Like any couple, John and Bipasha also have arguments but that doesn't mean they have split.

They did have a series of issues but those have been dealt with. A month ago, the couple decided to give each other some space and that's when John was seen going solo at many events. It was apparently Bipasha who made the decision that the relationship was getting stagnant and she told John that they needed some time apart."

When quizzed about the fact that she and John were having problems and had split up Bipasha laughs and says, "Guess we are living with each others ghosts day and night then! Thank you for informing me about this ridiculous buzz again. I am not a story and if people are talking, they have nothing else to do and can't be happy for anyone.

People thrive on negativity. Sorry to disappoint all those who are making this the talk of the town. Either I am getting married or breaking up! Amazing! Year after year -- the same stories."
John Abraham remained unavailable for comment but on Tuesday afternoon (a day after we asked both of them about splitting up) we saw the couple attending a college event.

John Abraham with Hollywood hotties

Thursday, 17 December 2009

One of the best looking hunks of Bollywood is now set to team up with a Hollywood hottie. John Abraham will pair with a Hollywood actress in director Shirish Kunder’s much-touted ‘Alien Sahib’.

If reports are to be believed, Kunder is hoping to rope in either Scarlett Johansson or Anne Hathaway for the film which will be made for global audiences. The director plans to use the fusion 3D camera technique for the flick and will be signing a lot of technicians from the west for it.

But the big surprise is indeed the presence of a Hollywood actress.

“The female protagonist is a foreign national so we decided to cast a Hollywood actress for it,” Kunder is quoted as saying in a media report.

Though Shirish refuses to divulge any name, he’s flying to Los Angeles to meet the agents of a couple of Hollywood actresses.

With the meeting of talents from two the biggest filmmaking industries in the world, the possibility of a Hollywood actress working in a Bollywood movie is much more today than it was a few years ago. Just earlier this year, we saw Akshay Kumar romancing Denise Richards and rubbing shoulders with Sylvester Stallone in Kambakkht Ishq. John already has the advantage of having had international exposure through Deepa Mehta’s film Water which was nominated for the Oscars two years back.

John Abraham dumps Riteish's babe

Wednesday, 25 November 2009
Aladin girl Jacqueline Fernandez was signed on by John Abraham's good friend for an untitled film.

But now it seems director Sabal Shekhawat is having second thoughts. Sabal, a good friend of John's is still in the scripting process. John too agreed upon Jacqueline. But now both are saying they need a mature face.

Jacqueline was considered initially because the script demanded a sporty-looking glamourous face.

Now with the latest development Juicy Mausi is forced to wonder if she is paying the price of Aladin's disastrous box-office results.

John Abraham applauds pro-gay decision

Thursday, 2 July 2009
Bollywood has always had a somewhat tense relationship with homosexuality, with very few mainstream films dealing with the subject, and homosexuals being shown in poor and comic light. But as far as members of the film industry are concerned, the legalising of homosexuality has got a thumbs-up from most of them.

Bollywood actors said that the decision of the Delhi High Court to legalise same-sex relationship will not just give legal cover to the homosexual community, but also help them lead a relatively trouble-free life.

Actor John Abraham, who is considered one of India's hottest gay-icons, said, "I think it's a step in the positive direction and I am personally quite happy that the High Court has finally given equal rights to everyone - whether he is a homosexual or a heterosexual."

The actor who came under some criticism from the gay community for playing a heterosexual man posing as a gay in Dostana added, "I think in a democratic country like India, where right to equality is a constitutional right, it was very important to give homosexuals their due. The government was also very empathetic to the fact that they should be treated equally."

Celina Jaitely who has been voicing her concern for the gay cause for quite some time terms the judgment as a historic one, even though, according to her, the battle has just begun.

"I think this is just the beginning. It's historic, great and just remarkable. I am very happy with it. I think finally the gay community has achieved their freedom with this landmark judgment."

She added, "I know how homosexuals were exploited by the administration of this country. They were treated as outlaws. Now the first victory is achieved but this struggle has to go on. The important thing now is social acceptance. This community should now walk with their head held high and be proud of who they are."

Well-know fashion designer Wendill Rodricks said that it's a landmark judgment but people should look at it more carefully and practically rather than with religious sentiments. He said, "I think we have been decriminalised and this is important for a country like India which is making progress in every sphere of life."

Salman Khan angry over Kat-John bed scene

Wednesday, 24 June 2009
The song ‘Mere Sang’ of ‘New York’ might hit the chartbuster but one man who is boiling in anger to see Katrina Kaif going cozy with his enemy John Abraham is Salman Khan. He did not want Katrina to do such a bold scene with anyone and especially with his enemy, John.

The promo that’s showing Katrina going too intimate with John on bed has not gone well with Salman and it hopes to bitter their relationship further which was always in news for shakiness. The song is compared to Katrina’s debut film ‘Boom’ which has shown Kat nothing more than a sex symbol.

A big question mark appears whether Salman Khan would accompany Katrina to the ‘New York’ premiere or skip it.
